After almost a month and a half off of running I am still feeling some aches and pains from my various leg injuries. Although I have not been dormant during this time, I have played volleyball once to twice a week over the last month; I have not been overly active either. I had a chance to weigh myself while at my doctor’s office the other day and I am only 2.5 lbs heavier than when I ran the marathon in late September. For me this weight will slide right off once I start training again.
Although I had hoped to start a late fall training program that would allow me to run a few road races in November, I will more likely go right into a winter training program starting to include weights. I will begin weights this week and look to add running very soon…I will keep you posted.
